Mind Music Pre-Sale Starts 24th July

Mind Music Coin, the new crypto project aimed at using music to raise awareness for mental health, sees its pre-sale go live this coming Saturday 24th July.

Created by Mark Hamilton, the Mind Music Coin was devised during the Coronavirus pandemic, where the various lockdowns froze Mark’s music event business. Left with no business and a multitude of problems, Mark’s mental health became affected. To help himself, instead of organising music events Mark went back to his first love, making music, as a means of dealing with his own mental health.

Reaching out to old friends and other music professionals, Mark soon discovered that they were having their own battles and that that there were many people around the world that were also struggling with their mental health because of the pandemic. Mark saw and heard people that were losing their jobs or businesses, and having to find a way to adjust to the life the coronavirus pandemic was creating. Mark wanted to create a music project that focused on raising awareness and breaking the stigma of mental illness, whilst at the same time celebrating the genius of the very best musicians who, themselves had suffered from mental health issues.

Mark, whose popular music videos on YouTube receive hundreds of thousands of views, said:

“I want this project to reach as many people as possible because, for me, this music is not about a career. It is a way to call attention to the silent epidemic of mental illness that has taken the lives of countless artists and individuals. I cover songs by musicians who were lost too soon to suicide and drug abuse. I hope to show people who are suffering with mental illness that they are not alone, that there is a huge community of people reaching out their hands.”

Mind music hopes to #breakthestigma of mental health problems. According to UK statistics, there has been a greater increase in anxiety and depression due to the pandemic. In the US, the situation is even worse. Through Mind Music, Mark hopes to bring people together for an important and long-overdue conversation.

With 12 tracks already recorded and released on YouTube, Soundcloud and Spotify, Mark aims to record an additional 9-13 tracks to complete the first release. From sales of the album, 100% of the profits will be donated to suicide prevention and mental health charities.

Further down the road, Mark intends to form collaborative partnerships with musicians around the world.
