In just a few short weeks it will be the one-year anniversary of John McAfee’s death.

Within minutes of John McAfee being found dead hanging in his Spanish prison cell on 23rd June 2021, the conspiracy stories started. And here, almost a full year later, the questions over the Gloucestershire-born entrepreneur’s death still remain.

John was a man that lived his life to the full. He was wild, he was smart, he was funny, and he was a genius. His life journey that ended in a Spanish prison, inspired thousands, if not millions, around the world. This is best exemplified in WHACKD, a thriving and vibrant community where the John McAfee life and legacy lives on. However, in that amazing life journey of John’s, there were enemies made along the way. Some, are very powerful enemies, and now, John’s widow – Janice McAfee, has given her first interview on John’s death, adding further weight to the sentiment that John did not, in fact, take his own life.

In an hour-long interview available on YouTube, Janice McAfee pours scorn on the notion that John committed suicide. Indeed, there is plenty to back that up.

You can see the interview here:

Nearly 12 months on, John’s body is still in custody. This bizarre anomaly is almost unheard of. What possible reason could there be to hold on to John’s body a year later? What could they find now that they couldn’t find in the previous 12 months? – there simply has been no reason offered as to why the authorities are holding on to the body.

Meanwhile, equally bizarre is the fact that after nearly a full year after the death was recorded, there has been no autopsy report, no death certificate has been issued and there still hasn’t been an official confirmation of the cause of John’s death. There can be no logical explanation as to why there has been no death certificate and no cause of death officially confirmed.

In Spain, the average death certificate gets issued normally five or six days after a person’s death. According to the UK government website, John a British-American citizen, having died in Spain, would have had his body repatriated to the UK “usually” within between 7 – 10 days.

There can only be nefarious reasons why John’s body hasn’t been released. Janice, in her interview, discusses the comparisons between John’s death and that of disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.

Both men were found hanging in their cells in very suspicious circumstances, both men were considered ‘dangerous’ by certain establishment figures with what they supposedly knew, and for both men. the belief that foul play was involved in their deaths will simply not go away. In John’s case, the decision not to release the body is being fought hard, by Janice herself and the WHACKD community.

With Janice now speaking out on John’s death and a petition by the WHACKD community in place, there is momentum building to get some answers and get John’s remains returned to Janice.

With a mission to get 100,000 signatures, the petition has the aim to pressure Spanish officials into taking action and getting his body finally released to his wife. You can join the fight and sign the petition here.
