The landmark screening of the highly acclaimed iNDIEFLIX documentary ANGST has helped raise the stakes for the future of streaming on blockchain and also helped raise much-needed funds for a number of notable mental health advocacy organizations.

The eagerly anticipated 10-day exclusive screening kicked off on the 21st of January and will run continuously until the 31st of January. The exclusive screening of iNDIEFLIX’s original documentary ANGST, represents the first online public access to the award-winning documentary already used by the California Government which recently adopted ANGST as part of the statewide education curriculum to help address the mental health crisis that has been growing amongst young people.

Presented by Liquid Media Group the screening of the iNDIEFLIX film has been aimed at raising awareness and encouraging conversation around anxiety. Some of the charities that will benefit from the event which features an NFT giveaway and sale, include Jack.org and Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation.

And it is the blockchain and NFT elements to this groundbreaking event that should excite the crypto community. Despite the explosion of the use of blockchain in just about every industry imaginable, streaming on blockchain is still relatively small but growing rapidly field.

Blockchain-streamed content means that video content creators can take full advantage of its decentralized system for publishing or delivering any content directly to the public, rather than depending on a third party and/or a centralized server, presenting endless opportunities for video content creators

The other aspect to this groundbreaking event which has registration still open, is the NFT aspect. Exclusive NFT’s are minted in conjunction with the ANGST screening which are available as free giveaways and for sale. This natural link-up between the film world and NFTs is, as much of the NFT world, an untapped stream of income that will one day become part and parcel of the merchandise available with every major film and TV release. Buy the T-shirt, buy the figurine and buy the NFT. The fusion of entertainment, blockchain and accompanying NFTs as presented by Liquid Media Group, Eluvio and iNDIEFLIX is very much the future, but today. And there is more, much more, on the horizon.

The warmly-received screening is the first as part of the Liquid/Eluvio Blockchain Framework currently in development, which aims to further deliver on Liquid’s mission to empower filmmakers in analyzing, financing, monetizing, and distributing their content.

Running until January 31st, registration, free NFTs and further information can be found here: https://live.eluv.io/indieflix
