Krypto Karens, the new NFT project generating interest in the crypto community, has reported a successful presale so far with a limited collection of 2,500 provably rare, computer-generated, Krypto Karen NFTs 50% sold out.
As a rollercoaster of a year draws to an eventful close, 2021 was the year of the NFT. Demand for non-fungible tokens (NFT) has continued to rise in 2021 as the total trading volume for the year hit $23 billion in December. This year’s figures are a significant jump from 2020 when just under $100 million worth of NFTs was traded.
Just behind NFTs in popularity this year were meme coins. Shiba Inu joined Dogecoin in dominating much of the crypto news and making millionaires overnight with its soaring value. With selective backing from none other than Elon Musk of Tesla fame, meme coins came to prominence this year and look as though they are here to stay.
What Krypto Karens achieves is capturing the zeitgeist of today. The term and meme ‘Karen’ became hugely popular over the last year or so. A Karen is a middle-aged woman who is unhappy when little things don’t go their way. They are the, “Can I speak to your manager?” type of lady and the bitchy soccer mom of her friend group that nobody really likes. The term quickly became a meme depicting people who use their privilege to demand their own way and enforce their own worldview upon others.
Inspired by the legendary Crypto Punks, the team behind Krypto Karens, in their own words “took some 8-bit pixel art and let our computer overlord do the rest.” With a mission to ensure the Karen meme is immortalized on the blockchain for eternity, Krypto Karens wants future generations to remember and cherish the legend that is Karen.
This unique and fun NFT project supports all creators in the fast-developing NFT sphere and operates an art contest rewarding the best Karens. It also pledges to donate a small portion of our sales to give back to the Karens of the world and invites people to “reach out if you or someone you care about is a Karen affected by their own actions.”
The $KZKZ native token fuels this interesting project available on the trusted opensea.io and when a user mints a new Krypto Karen, an NFT token is deployed from the Krypto Karenz Smart Contract, assigned a random Krypto Karen artwork, and sent directly to the user’s wallet. After 2,500 Krypto Karenz are minted, the smart contract will close, meaning no more NFTs can be minted.
Amongst a sea of new NFT platforms and projects Krypto Karens with its imminent whitelisting registration starting soon, catches the eye, A successful presale was reported and this looks like being one to watch in 2022.
