As 2021 draws to a close, this year will be remembered for many things, one of which will be the rise of the NFT. Digital ownership has captured the public’s imagination and only gathers more attention and investment. Global sales volumes of NFTs hit $10.7 billion in the third quarter of 2021, an incredible eightfold increase from the previous quarter.

Now, with the metaverse accelerating advancements in the NFT world, there is a new NFT project that has the potential to change how we buy, produce, and store products.

Imageneria is a new NFT platform but already proving to be a true pioneer showing what the metaverse, NFTs, and blockchain technology can do for the world.

It is fair to say that most people now are familiar with NFT platforms for exchanging digital art. However, there is yet to be a merging of the digital and physical worlds in the NFT sphere. Imageneria is the first of its kind and changes the game for designers, consumers, and investors alike.

The Los Angeles-based startup offers a platform that stores 3D-printable files designers make. Customers can then turn the designs into physical products on-demand (using 3D printers) or keep them in their digital form as non-fungible tokens (NFTs), ensuring they retain ownership. This means that consumers buy a design in its file format rather than a physical object.

Although a new project launched in November 2021, the Imageneria team, who have been at the intersection of digital design, 3D printing, AI, and another tech since 2015, have already broken world records. On November 17, Imageneria launched the first 3D-printable NFT of the Guinness World Record, digitizing and making the metaverse-ready the largest 3D-printed flag (Guinness World Record created by the team members previously in March 2020).

Sustainability is important to Imageneria that offers fashion, homeware, and other lifestyle products that are significantly more sustainable than the fast consumer cycle we’ve grown accustomed to. By providing digital delivery and a new way of manufacturing and sustainable materials for the physical versions of the products, Imageneria reduces the carbon footprint from production.

The Imageneria model creates a new value dimension for the NFT world. Digital delivery opens the world up to access whatever designs they want, which can be locally produced or even printed in a customer’s own house. Also, Imageneria enables designers to have more creative freedom than ever before.

As the physical and digital worlds become more and more intertwined, Imageneria and its unique platform for digital delivery of consumer products both in the physical world and in the metaverses through turning products into 3D-printable assets look well placed to make waves in the digital world.
