The game “Bitcoin: The Crypto Card Game” is making headlines these days for give a chance to new crypto investors to get a taste of real-word investing. The developer of the game ‘Two Stupid Investors’ has designed this game to give everyone a chance to invest bitcoin and other cryptos. The developers launched a Kickstarter campaign for this game. This campaign was launched after bitcoin fad. When you play the game, you replicate real life bitcoin investing. Therefore, you would have to use all due diligence to ensure that your investments do not go a waste.
Brandon and Sam, who are known as ‘Two Stupid Developers’ developed this game as a prank. However, later, they went on to create a full-fledged strategy game. They said, “The game was built and tested by people familiar with investing in crypto and other crazy assets. Originally made to MOCK the idiots that blindly invest money they don’t have into Bitcoin, it soon became a real-life simulation of Bitcoin investing.”
They suggest that the real advantage of playing this game is indulging in guilt-free entertainment in the crypto industry. You don’t even need to have real bitcoins to playing this game. There is no problem in obtaining bitcoin. The developers are warning the users that the game only looks easy but isn’t. “Whilst easy to pick up and play straight away, the complexity of strategies and tactics gets much richer with experience where you have to think moves in advance to protect yourself and ruin your opponents.”
The developers suggest that people should not sell their houses to get bitcoin. They added, “If you like fast paced strategy games, laugh at people that sold their house to buy bitcoin, or simply want to show grandma how to lose all your cash online: buy Bitcoin.” They even said that people doing absurd things just to get hold of some bitcoins has driven them to design this game. If anyone wants to invest in crypto currencies, they should be focusing on the game instead of risking their real wealth in this highly volatile market.
The prank idea was first developed when a friend of the developers used his $7,000 university loan to buy bitcoin. The two were quite appalled by the incident and then decided to create a satire that would poke fun at bitcoin scams, frauds and the absurd investing stories that are doing the rounds. They wanted people to understand that they are using a lifetime of hard earned money in a coin that can easily lose its value and become zero in no time.
The game’s Kickstarter campaign is now live. Sam and Brandon believe that they will be able to educate people and help them avoid participating in scams. They will get an idea about the volatilities of these investments. The campaign has an initial goal of AU$10,000. They will continue their project only if the goal is reached by June 22. As of now, they have collected AU$1,607 and have 33 backers on the platform. So, he users still have a chance to invest.
